Monitor Creative, one of Manchester’s most lively and innovative independent creative agencies, is looking for a new Account Manager and we’re keen to hear from bright, enquiring minds and engaging personalities that have a minimum of 1-2 years in a marketing or account management position.

You’ll work within the Accounts handling team alongside the Account Director, Account Managers and a newly appointed Account Executive. We’re a team of experienced marketing, digital and creative professionals who are passionate about helping the companies we work with achieve their goals. Our clients range from multi-million-pound global companies to small SME’s. We provide design, digital and marketing solutions across a variety of industry sectors.

We’re looking for a pro-active problem solver who can identify growth opportunities for our clients, nurture our relationship with them and help our business grow alongside them. Someone who understands that marketing is about measurable business results. You’ll also have well-honed social skills. Meeting new people and turning them into raving fans will be as exciting for you as delivering great work on brief, on time and on budget.

Essential skills and experience:

• 1-2 years marketing or account management experience with a comprehensive knowledge of marketing fundamentals. This is key to advising our clients and adding value to their projects.
• Proven project management experience.
• Detail-oriented and a meticulous organiser.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Ideally have undertaken a degree or equivalent in marketing or a related subject.

Here’s what this exciting role entails:

• Direct management and ownership of multiple client projects through effective communication and problem solving, ensuring that projects are completed on-time, on-budget and to a high standard.
• Establishing a strong professional relationship with clients through transparency, frequent communication and problem solving.
• Managing and taking ownership of a monthly magazine. Responsible for client management, leading editorial meetings, briefing with the design team, proofing and project managing through to print every month.
• Being pro-active in seeking out new opportunities for current clients and driving these forwards through creating and/or assisting the Accounts team with pitches and new business proposals.
• Actively owning and reporting on profitability of projects, including producing reports and data on success for the board.

• Salary: £25,000 per year
