Website redevelopment for a crucial corporate audience
Unitas Wholesale is the UK’s largest independent buying group. It focuses on building strong relationships to support profitable growth for both its wholesale members, retailers and suppliers.
To better communicate with a growing bank of stakeholders, its corporate website needed a significant update. Monitor was tasked with the challenge.
Fit for purpose
Built on an old version of WordPress, the existing corporate website was vulnerable to poor performance, slow loading speeds, and a range of security threats. Resolving these issues was first on our priority list.
Next, we completed a full review of the site and its users. Most were visiting from desktop devices, mobile bounce rates were higher than desktop, and 75% of all mobile traffic came from new visitors. Armed with this knowledge, we implemented various design updates and built crucial landing pages to guide new users.

Every page of the website was reviewed and updated to ensure it worked correctly across all platforms. This is key to delivering a seamless user journey from start to finish.
It also allowed the internal Unitas staff members freedom to update the content of the website themselves.
Search engine optimised
An SEO analysis uncovered several opportunities to help Unitas grow its digital presence and attract better-qualified visitors directly to its site. Keyword research, on-page optimisation, technical SEO, and backlinks were all improved to boost organic search rankings and ensure Unitas was present in high-intent search results.
